mw:Extension:Flash used to exist and providing supports for displaying Flash games on Uncyclopedia. After the removal of this extension, no measure is taken until now because the old user who was producing Flash content were gone so any page containg old Flash stuff became kinda broken. Now I decide to do something after the browsers ended the support of Flash player, I need to display something useful to the users rather than just displaying raw code which are disactivated. What instruction should I give when someone is trying to load a page which Flash content after this happens?--Abcabc2 (talk) 18:09, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

I will pass this problem on to Carlb but I think this question should have been posted on the list of problems acquired after the change to MediaWiki suffered last month. Rhubella selo-02.pngRhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3 344 preppieditsRhubella selo-01.png 19:53, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
I'm discussing about local policies rather than changes on the server. Unless we decide to deploy something new on the server, there's no need to notify Carlb anyway.--Abcabc2 (talk) 03:53, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Here is the discussion on Flash contents on zh-tw uncyc, one of my friend suggested me deploy Ruffle-RS on Uncyclopedia in order to keep Flash content display. This may need Carlb's help.--Abcabc2 (talk) 11:56, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Sorry for the insistence. I had asked this because it was suggested last month modifications in the servers with implements of improvements for users who used cell phones. I think there was some discussion about Flash. Rhubella selo-02.pngRhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3 344 preppieditsRhubella selo-01.png 21:27, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Okay, I forwarded your request to Carlb's email. I will only alert you that we have updated the version of the servers from 1.31 to 1.35, you can confirm if the installation of this MediaWiki can satisfy or we will have to update even more. There were problems with the update with delays in some wikis. I leave below the text I wrote for the email:

The Chinese version of Uncyclopedia has been discussing Flash content and it has been suggested to deploy Ruffle-RS in wikis to maintain the display of Flash content. I alerted the Chinese representative that we had updated the version of our servers and modified some implements.

Ruffls-RS is not a MediaWiki extension by itself, instead it is an extension of general webpages, so it will theoretically work regardless of the MediaWiki version.--Abcabc2 (talk) 19:09, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I understand, but as I said... it is necessary to know if this application will not cause problems with the new version of MediaWiki recently adopted.  Rhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3 344 preppiedits  19:58, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
